Well Family is a clinical licensee for LearningRx Brain Training.
Brain training uses fun but intense mental work-outs to target the cognitive skills
the brain uses to think and learn.
Cognitive skills are the core skills your brain uses to think, read, learn, remember, reason, and pay attention. Working together, they take incoming information and move it into the bank of knowledge you use every day at school, at work, and in life.
Attention/Sustained. Enables staying focused and on task. When this skill is weak: Difficulties completing projects or assignments, tendency to jump from task to task.
Attention/Selective. Enables you to stay focused and on task despite distractions. When this skill is weak: Easily distracted by other thoughts, environmental sounds, movements.
Attention/Divided. Enables you to remember information while doing two things at once. When this skill is weak: Difficulty multitasking, making frequent mistakes.
Memory/Long-Term. Enables you to recall information stored in the past. When this skill is weak: Difficulties remembering names, doing poorly on tests, forgetting things you used to know.
Memory/Working. Enables you to hang on to information while in the process of using it. When this skill is weak: Difficulty following multi-step directions, tracking conversation.
Logic and Reasoning. Enables you to reason, form ideas, and solve problems. When this skill is weak: Difficulties with math, sequencing, making inferences, and deductions.
Visual Processing. Enables thinking in visual images. When this skill is weak: Difficulties understanding or remembering what you’ve read, following directions, math word problems.
Auditory Processing. Enables you to analyze, blend, and segment sounds. When this skill is weak: Difficulties with learning to read, reading fluency, or reading comprehension.
Processing Speed. Enables quick and accurate task performance. When this skill is weak: Tasks seem more difficult and school or work assignments may take longer to complete.
